Second hall of EyeMaxx logistics center in Novi Banovci to become operational in April 2018 – Construction of retail park to begin in late summer
The Austrian company EyeMaxx is completing the first phase of the construction of the second facility of the logistics center in Novi Banovci, which will have a total of 30,000 m2.
In the first phase of the construction of the LogMax Beta facility, which started in October 2016, the area in question amounts to around 15,000 m2, and this part of the investment is worth EUR 20 million. LogMax Beta is expected to officially start working as soon as the first phase is over, which is planned for April 2018.
As Ljiljana Radovanovic of EyeMaxx says for eKapija, the access route and the necessary infrastructure have already been completed, and as the weather conditions caused the deadlines to be moved slightly, the works are expected to be completed in the next two months and the first lessees “with early access” should move in in mid-March.
eKapija’s interviewee reminds that the Austrian company EyeMaxx is planning to build 10 logistics facilities on the land it has rented closed to Novi Banovci. The first hall, LogMax Alfa, was completed in February 2015 on an area of 17,000 m2. The second phase of the construction of the second hall will begin immediately following the completion of the first part and LogMax Beta is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
When it comes to plans for the construction of the shopping center which EyeMaxx announced for after the logistics part is completed, Ljiljana Radovanovic says that the schedule has been partially changed and that the company plans to start building a retail park in late summer. The first lessees can therefore be expected to move in in the spring of 2019. She says that the construction of a retail park is slightly more complicated and that it will take longer than the construction of the logistics hall, as all individual outlets need to be equipped individually on an area of 7,000 m2.
According to her, the projects for the construction of this complex are completed and the procedure of obtaining permits is currently in progress. The first thing to be built is the access route.
After the construction is completed and the retail park starts operating, the construction of the outlet center EyeMaxx, announced several years ago, should take place.

In addition to the main contractor on the project of the second facility of the logistics center, the Sabac-based company Westgradnja, as well as the Belgrade-based company Bureau CUBE Partners, which performs expert supervision, the company S-Baupartner mont is in charge of preparation, transport and mounting of pre-fabricated concrete elements. This daughter company of Baupartner from Lukavac realized seven demanding projects in Serbia alone last year.
As they say in Baupartner, satisfied investors are the best recommendation when it comes to the quality of the work done and the honoring of deadlines. Several new projects have already been contracted for 2018.
