Construction of Tesla City to begin in 2017 – Up to EUR 500 per square meter

The construction of the residential-office complex Tesla City in Makisko Polje in Belgrade will start by the end of the current year, as announced by a consortium of private construction companies founded by the Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Serbia and the BK company.

The construction of around two million square meters is planned, and all the works should be completed by 2030.

The press release says that the preparation of the necessary documentation and the obtaining of construction permits from the city and state authorities are close to completion.

The estimates say that the price of a square meter in Tesla City will amount to up to EUR 500.

As announced, around 43,000 workers will be hired for the construction of the complex, and it is expected that around 18,000 people could be employed in the complex once it's finished.

– As for the transport inside this modern city within city, the project envisages a monorail network. Tesla City itself would be connected with downtown Belgrade by a new boulevard and a subway, which would connect Makisko Polje and Mirijevo – the press release says.
