Successful participation of Serbia in "Real Vienna" - large investment funds interested in our country
- Investors at one of the largest trade
fairs of real estates and investments in Europe – "RealVienna"
in Vienna, expressed great interest in coming
to Serbia - said the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and
Regional Development,
Jasna Matić, yesterday (May 28, 2008).
- The expressed interest was really great and everybody
was positive towards our country, that is, everybody recognizes great
potential of Serbia in all investment fields, first of all, in field
of real estates - Matić pointed out.
She also said that demand in all
segments of the real estate market in Serbia (office space, apartments,
shopping malls and retail facilities) was higher than supply, "so
that the profits are pretty high and foreign investors are very interested
in coming to Serbia".
The greatest interest at the Fair was expressed by investors from Austria, Germany and Israel, as well as by large investment funds.
Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) organized participation of local companies and representatives of municipalities in "Real Vienna" for the second time.
On the national stand of Serbia, at surface of 100 square meters, which is divided into two parts - "Serbia - discover opportunities" and "Belgrade - the city of future", three local companies are participating, as well as representatives of three cities and one municipality and two specialized agencies for attracting investors.
"Real Vienna" is the only business trade fair of real estates and investments, specialized exclusively for the market of central and southeast Europe and, as such, it represents an ideal place for promotion of investment potentials of Serbia in field of real estates.
In the last year's trade fair, total of 196 exhibitors from 21 countries of the region participated, and it gathered 3,800 visitors from 25 countries. This year, number of exhibitors is larger by 20%, as well as number of visitors.
