Lidl soon to be opened at the site of the former factory Bane in Sombor - Construction of Capitol Park shopping center to start in November
On a plot of the former metal processing giant Bane, near the bus station in Sombor, should soon begin construction of the object of the retail chain Lidl. The plot of 2.4 hectares is divided into three parts. The owner of two parcels is a Belgrade-based company SBCP projekt, and the third plot is owned by Lesnina XXXL.
On one of the parcels owned by SBCP projekt, Lidl will open its object, and on the other will also be another long-awaited shopping center.
For one of the parcels owned by the Belgrade based company, City Administration of Sombor, namely the Department of Communal Affairs, issued a decision on the building permit, which shows that two objects will be built. One will have six separate retail units, while the other one will have four units.
According to Miroslav Kovacic, a member of the City Council of Sombor for communal services and investments, the entire complex will be called Capitol Park Sombor and its construction is expected to begin in November, while it is also expected that Lidl will soon submit its application for the building permit, which should be the third object on the plot.
Some while ago, Lidl announced an employment ad in several cities in Serbia, among which was Sombor as well. The contest is now completed, the selected candidates are expecting nine-months training and it is expected that Lidl in Sombor will employ ten workers.
After the construction of other objects in the shopping center Capitol Park Sombor, it is expected employment of a few dozens of people.
