One billion RSD for "Splendid" - hotel in Belgrade's city bought by Montenegrin businessman Veselin Rutović


Belgrade-based hotel"Splendid" was sold on Friday auction (February 29, 2008) for 1.1 billion RSD to businessman Veselin Rutović from Montenegro who is in hotel management.

The starting price of "Splendid", which is situated in the Belgrade dowtown, across the street from the City Assembly, was 61.8m RSD, and minimum investments at 1.5m EUR.

Total of 15 interested buyers participated in the auction in the Privatization Agency.

Legal representative of the new owner, Jelena Vasiljević, said that Rutović was the owner of restaurant chain "Trigrozda", which encompasses 12 restaurants.

According to her words, Rutović also owns several catering facilities in Serbia and Montenegro.

The hotel at 1,195 square meters has 4 suites, 18 one-bed and 35 two-bed rooms and parlor.
