"Holiday Inn" in "Park" - capital city to get another hotel from famous world's chain

Belgrade will get another "Holiday Inn" hotel next year. The new owner of "Park" hotel, company "Delta", which took over the hotel one month ago, has signed the contract with the world's largest company in hotel industry - "Intercontinetal", on the management for "Holiday Inn".

The initial plan was to make "Park" an efficient city hotel with quick service, the kind "Holiday Inn express" offers, but there is no management contract for that brand, but only franchise contract. Since "Delta" wanted to have hotel managed by professional staff from abroad, they signed the management contract.

Company "Delta" is already bulding a luxrious hotel "Intercontinetal" in New Belgrade, which will be finished in 2010. This company is very interested in buying former "Intercontinetal", which lost the license of this world's hotel chain last year.

If they became the owners of that hotel (which includes "Genex" suites and tennis courses), the building would be closed for complete renovation, and then it would probably carry brand "Crown Plaza", which also belongs to the aforementioned chain.

Hotel group "Intercontinetal" has 3,900 hotels and 585,000 rooms in over 100 countries of the world, and it also owns wide variety of brands. Currently the most popular is "Holiday inn express". This global brand is present in Belgrade since 1979.
