The German store chain Lidl has begun the preparations for the construction of a modern discount store in Jagodina, which might be completed in two years, stated the director of the Office for Construction of Jagodina, Miodrag Jevremovic.

– The city has provided the full infrastructure for the construction site – Jevremovic said to the press.

The supermarket will be built on a 0.4 ha area at the Stari Juhor location next to the Belgrade-Nis railway on Corridor 10, Jevremovic specified.

– The supermarket will have a large parking area with the entrance from Kneza Milete St, and the opening is expected in two years at most – Jevremovic said.

He noted that “the investor decides on the date of the construction and the opening of the supermarket”.
