City of Šabac bought Army Center - construction of business center of 12,000 square meters in pipeline

City of Šabac has bought the Army Center of Serbia for 57.8m RSD. The three-storey building has the surface of 2,100 square meters, but the lot of 38.5 ares in the very center of the city is much more attractive.

The authorized military commission has declared this complex to be without prospects, while the decision about sale was made by the Government of Serbia.

Construction of a business center of 12,000 square meters and underground garage on that location is in the pipeline. Military garrison in Šabac used to have two barracks and military formation at the rank of division.

However, following the Dayton Agreement, due to vicinity of the border, military capacities were reduced significantly, so that the land on the Sava where the barracks used to be settled will be used for construction of business-apartment complex.

The second barracks occupies about 40 ha in the vicinity of the center, so that one part of the land will most probably be sold, including large land complex on Jevremovac where the firing range used to be settled.
