Valjevo gets new EUR 7 million retail park this spring - Immofinanz expands Stop.Shop. brand in Serbia (PHOTO)

(the planned design of Stop.Shop. retail park in Valjevo) Austria's Immofinanz is building the third Stop.Shop. facility in Serbia in Valjevo. This project marks the next step in the expansion of this fast-growing chain of retail parks in Serbia, following the opening of the first Stop.Shop. in Cacak in April 2015 and the second one in Nis, which is scheduled to open in the spring 2016.
Construction of Stop.Shop. retail park in Valjevo commenced November 2015, while its completion and opening is expected this spring.

- We have decided to invest about EUR 7 million in our third Stop.Shop. retail park in Serbia, which is under construction in Valjevo. Just like all our other facilities, this too will host famous international and national retail brands. The plan is to build eight to ten additional Stop.Shop. facilities in Serbia over the next three to four years - said Dietmar Reindl, the CEO of Immofinanz.

Stanko Terzic, the mayor of Valjevo, stressed that the construction of Stop.Shop. retail park was important for the city because it would improve the business climate and reputation as well as open up the possibility of hiring the citizens of Valjevo.

Stop.Shop. in Valjevo will feature about 6,100 square meters of retail space and 170 parking spaces. It is expected to satisfy the needs of 58,000 citizens and about 200,000 inhabitants of the Valjevo area.

The Stop.Shop. portfolio of retail parks now includes 53 locations in seven countries (Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Poland, and Serbia).
