Easier way to get roof over your head - EFSE grants EUR 10 million to UniCredit Bank in Serbia

The European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) and UniCredit Bank Serbia are expanding their cooperation. A new EUR 10 million loan provided by the EFSE will be used to finance additional housing loans for physical persons.

UniCredit Bank is one of the largest banks in Serbia, covering all parts of the country with its services. Its housing loan sales in November accounted for more than 10% of all such sales in that month. This additional loan provides necessary funds for improving the housing conditions and purchasing apartments, which completely satisfies the needs of the EFSE's target group - low-income households.

- UniCredit Bank Serbia is continuosly showing efficiency in lending, not only in big cities, but also in other areas of the country - Monika Beck, the chairman of the EFSE Board of Directors, said and added they were glad to see that successful partnership expanding further in favor of the target group of the EFSE.
