Immofinanz commences construction of Stop.Shop retail park in Nis
Austria's Immofinanz has commenced the construction of Stop.Shop. in Nis. This project represents the next step in the expansion of network of retail parks for this company that operates in the field of commercial real estates in Serbia. The first retail park of this brand in Serbia was opened in April in Cacak. Designs for Stop.Shop. in Nis include about 13,000 square meters of retail space and nearly 300 parking places. The plan is to open this facility in the spring 2016.
- Because of the selected location and its surroundings, new Stop.Shop. in Nis will perfectly fit into the preliminary concept of our brand. This is our second Stop.Shop. in Serbia, and the first one is situated in Cacak. Also, we see potential in this market due to substantial demand for retail space - said Dietmar Reindl, chairman of the Executive Board of Immofinanz.
- This will provide an opportunity to create new jobs and generate additional revenue for the city. Nis is a good business environment and many international companies confirm this by coming to Nis to do business. I am glad that the City of Nis will become another European city on the map of Immofinanz, where citizens and visitors of Nis will enjoy this shopping concept - said Zoran Perisic, the mayor of Nis.
Stop.Shop. is located in the Medijana borough, stretching on about 13,000 square meters of retail space, and it will have a parking lot for about 300 cars. Situated in an area with a population of about 380,000, it will be easily accessible by car and city transport. Negotiations on the lease of retail space are already underway with renowned international and domestic brands.
The portfolio of Stop.Shop. retail parks now includes 53 locations in seven countries (Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Poland, and Serbia).
