Water polo hotel in Sijarinska banja stays at preliminary project
Belgrade-based C.T.D.3 developed in 2005, elaborate for defining the status of Sijarinska banja and in 2010 Feasibility Study for the hotel which would be built along with the existing outdoor swimming pool filled with thermal water. With constant consultantions with the Water polo Association of Serbia and with the support of the Ministry of youth and spors, Water polo hotel project was developed.
According to Svetlana Dragic, author of the study from C.T.D.3, Medvedja municipality as an investor of the elaborates submitted a request to the republic Directorate for property to carry out transfer of ownership rights over the land to municipality so that it would participate in PPP set up.
She outlines that, along with the study and preliminary design, there is an available location for four-star hotel construction apart from already existing swimming pool. Location through which the Banjka reka flows though occupies 3.000 m2, and the Water polo hotel should be a modern facilities with elements of the old Serbian architecture totaling EUR 5,1 m.
- Planned hotel facilities are adapted to needs of water
polo players and guests with special requests, kids and business people who
visit congresses, seminars and presentations. Planned hotel capacity comprises 88 rooms and 5 suites, and conference, entertainment, recreation,
rehabilitation and wellness facilities as well as kids’ area were planned – a collocutor
of eKapija, says.
She concludes that the Water polo hotel project is ready for the beginning of
development of technical documentation and that there are no obstacles for obtaining
urban terms and approvals in order to get decision on construction and later on
usage permits. Further program implementation ofeferd through the study will
depend solely on the interest of the future investor and successful agreement
with current owner of the location and water polo swimming pool.
- Feasibility Study for the hotel construction is justified so the facility with a well-planned market will generate profit which will enable loan refund and payment of all expenses – Svetlana Dragic says.
