Montenegro announces tender for long-term rental of Ada Bojana

Montenegrin Minister of Tourism, Predrag Nenezić, stated on May 19, 2007, that the tender for long-term rental of Ada Bojana would be announced within the following 30 days.

Nenezić said that the investors, as a condition, would have to offer at least 2.5m EUR for annual rental fee and at least 70m EUR for investments within first three years.

Minister said that 400 ha of the island would remain natural reservation, while 80 ha would be used for construction of exclusive hotel complex. He pointed out that one of the tender terms would be that the low buildings on the island must fit into the natural milieu.

Nenezić added that the priority would be given to investors who used renewable energy sources.
