German Lidl acquires land for hypermarket in Leskovac

German market chain Lidl purchased a land of 62 ares Thursday for the hypermarket construction in Leskovac.

This city-owned land was acquired at a starting price of EUR 625,000 at public auction where this retailer was the only bidder.

It is the location where green market is now, near the old bus station, and it features a 300 sqm facility for sale of milk and dairy products.

Representatives of Lidl were not authorized to speak about the plans and deadlines pertaining to the construction of hypermarket in Leskovac.

The Lidl market chain is an international discount chain of supermarkets headquartered in Germany and operating in 25 countries, and it has more than 200,000 employees in over 10,000 branch offices.
