Deadline for construction facilities legalization extends until May 1, 2015

Deadline for construction facilities legalization was extended for six months, i.e. May 1, 2015.

The state secretary at the Ministry of construction, Aleksandra Damnjanovic,said that deadline was extended and that request submitters who did not submit all necessary papers can do it until the new date. She added that more than 800.000requests have been submitted but that a small number of them were solved.

- It is a chance that all who submitted only one paper, i.e. legalization request, deliver necessary documents in line with the law. November 1, without these changes, all who did not have necessary documentation would receive a decision where legalization request is refused and this means their facilities would be demolished – Damnjanovic said at RTS.

The effects of the law implementation, according to her, which came into force last November, “are very bad”.

- On the average, in Serbia only three out of 5% of request have been solved – Damnjanovic said.
