Earlier this April, the town authorities defined the proposition of the decision on the adoption of the Detailed Regulation Plan for the tunnel beneath Kadinjaca. The area in question is located along the Dub-Dubci state road and covers 9.2 ha, and the tunnel is supposed to be 1,260-m long.
This tunnel, as eKapija has already written, should shorten the road between Uzice and Bajina Basta by 6 km and shorten the travel time by 15-20 minutes. The projected speed is 80 km/h.
It will also serve to help drivers avoid the series of road curves in the location, which are especially difficult under snow.
Let us remind that Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic pointed out in early 2019 that the project documentation for the tunnel would be completed in 2019 and that the works might start in 2020.
– This means that the project documentation will be prepared this year and that the government and the ministry will then start working on finding a way of funding the project – Mihajlovic said, as reported by Beta.
