The representatives of American company "General motors" and Kragujevac-based "Zastava" delivered the document that contains terms for signing of the contract between these two automobile manufacturers to the Government of Serbia.
According to the General Manager of "Zastava vozila" Group, Zoran Radojević, the meeting of the representatives of the Government, "General motors" and "Zastava" may take place next week and these terms could be discussed at that meeting.
- The Government of Serbia has been given the terms under which "General motors" wants to cooperate with "Zastava". The success of the negotiations with that American company depends on the Government as the third negotiator in this business, because its approvals are necessary – said Radojević.
Due to negotiations that are underway, he did not want to state precisely what kind of terms are in question, but he pointed out that they were very similar to the ones in the contract signed between "Zastava" and company "Fiat".
The difference lies in the fact that "Opel’s" model of automobile, which would be produced in Kragujevac, would not bear the “Zastava” sign – said Radojević and pointed out that "General motors" insisted on efficiency in the negotiations and as quick as possible realization of the agreed.
