Djerdj Matkovic appointed a new ambassador of Serbia in USA

Djerdj Matkovic was appointed a new ambassador of Serbia in USA, it was announced at the Official Gazette.

October 10, the President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic made a decision on appointing Matkovic ambassador in USA.

Serbia has not had an ambassador in USA since October 2013 when Vladimir Petrovic was recalled.

Matkovic is an advisor for foreign policy to the president of the Government, Aleksnadar Vucic.

Media has been speculating that the position will go to former minister of defense, Nebojsa Rodic.
