German companies want to invest in agriculture in Serbia

German companies are interested in investing in Serbian agriculture, the German minister of agriculture, Christian Schmitt, has said today.
During his discussions with Serbian minister of agriculture and environmental protection, Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic, Schmitt outlined that the biggest investment of German companies is investing in food production sector.
As the Ministry of agriculture announced, Schmitt offered expert help for rehabilitation from floods on waterworks facilities in Serbia as well as EUR 500.000 for damage rehabilitation inn forestry.
- Bogosavljevic Boskovic thanked her German colleague for strong support of Germany in Serbia’s way to EU integrations and cooperation in the process of aligning regulations with European legislation in the field of agriculture and environmental protection as well as for the support in using EU IPA funds – it was stated in the announcement.
