MIHAJLOVIC: Road Corridor 10 to end in 2016

Value of current projects in road and railway infrastructure totals EUR 4, 2 billion, Vice President of the Government, ZoranaMihajlovic said on Friday, October 10, 2014 in road Corridor will be finished until the end of 2016.
At the Regional investment summit of NIN Fokus, whose media partner is Tanjug, Mihajlovic said that the road Corridor 10 in Serbia has been completed 80% I Serbia and reminded that previous governments were announcing completion in 2010 and 2012.
Speaking about so-called Corridor 11, i.e. about the Belgrade-Montenegro highway construction, Mihajlovic said that for some parts of the sections investors have not been found yet and that first of all it refers to the Pozega-Boljare section, at the border of Montenegro.
She said that current projects in railway infrastructure total EUR 1, 2 billion and that they refer to modernization of the existing and partially to construction of new rails while projects in road infrastructure total EUR 3 billion.
The minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure pointed out that investments in energy infrastructure are also very important and set aside as priorities the construction of the South stream and the Nis-Dimitrovgrad gas pipeline which are, as she said, the future of Serbia.
She outlined that the Government must speed up the projects since they are running late as well as to increase the construction activities in the country.
She said that the most important is to define priorities so that Serbia could become regional leader in some areas.
