Czech company "Čez" interested in continuing construction of "Kolubara B"

- Czech Power Supply Company "ČEZ" is interested in participating in the continuation of the construction of Serbia steam power plant "Kolubara B" – said General Manager of Czech company Martin Roman.

He expressed expectation that “Electric Power Company of Serbia” would soon announce tender for selection of strategic partner for completion of steam power plant, of which construction had started in 1988.

Citing that Serbia was a large market and very important to "ČEZ", Roman pointed out that that company was interested in both investing in already existing resources and in having new energy sources built.

- Our interest in Serbian market is on long-term basis – said Roman and added that "ČEZ" was very interested in erecting new thermo-blocks in Kosovo, where announcement of the tenders is also expected, as well as in the other countries in the region of Southeast Europe.
