Rapp Zastava opens Gruza-based section – Investment totaling EUR 6,8m


Norwegian Rapp Zastava opened production section on 10.000m2 in Sumadija’s town, Gruza.
The Ambassador of Norway, Nils Ragnar Kamsvag, said that Norway is one of the biggest investors in Serbia which will pour only in this section EUR 47 m. He added that newly-opened Gruza-based section, where the center of Rapp Zastava will be, is the result of hard work, workforce competence development and focusing on innovations.
GM at Rapp Zastava, Slobodan Milovanovic, announced that in Gruza, the Bureau for design, technology and planning will be set up as well as that entire logistics will be organized which will generate conditions for employment of highly-educated staff and production workers.
A total of EUR 6,8m was poured in Gruza-based section opening. The plant has 140 employees and, as it was announced, there will be room for 50 people more.
The plant is owned by RAPP Marine Group which in 2006 acquired Zastava masine, a part of former Zastava holding and is considered to be one of the most successful privatizations in Kragujevac.
RAPP Zastava produces components for ships, oil platforms and machines and exports 95% of production scope.
