Who is future owner of Zorka holding

Two bids arrived on the tender for sale of Zorka holding - the bid from London-based MIDL and the offer from the domestic consortium of companies Eko-tek and Metal-hemik.

Zorka is being sold in the package that contains 10 enterprises and two technologically connected units - Mineral Fertilizers and Non-ferrous Metallurgy.

The debts of Zorka amount to 42m EUR, while its claims amount to 8.5m EUR (the workers of Non-ferrous Metallurgy claim 5.5m EUR).

The two largest Zorka's factories have been rented during last three years. Mineral Fertilizers was rented by Šabac-based concern Farmakom MB, while the renter of Non-ferrous Metallurgy was Indian concern Binani, that is, Indo cink smelters, which left Šabac before the expiration of the contract and left debts behind.
