26 Russian companies interested in privatization of Serbian firms

On Tuesday, October 7, 2014, after the meeting of intergovernmental Russian-Serbian Committee for economic, business, scientific and technical cooperation in Moscow, Russian Minister of Energy, Alexander Novak said to journalists that 26 Russian companies is interested in privatization of Serbian firms. .

He did not specify which companies are interesting for Russian companies, Tas reported.

Reminding that Russia provided Serbia with a loan of USD 800 m for rails reconstruction, the agency states Novak’s words that Russia is considering an option to invest USD 1 billion in construction and reconstruction of railways in Serbia.

Russia is interested in production of toll payment collection equipment at the territory of Serbia, Novak added.
