Restructuring plan of Srbijagas delivered to the Government of Serbia

The Ministry of Mining and Energy delivered to the Government of Serbia a plan of Srbijagas’s restructuring fully aligned with the EU Third energy deal,the ministry said.

As it was said for Beta agency, if the government adopts the plan, Srbijagas will be vertically organized company with legally separated energy operations.

The Ministry expects that the plan will be adopted as soon as possible which will enable Srbijagas to be restructured by March 31, 2015 which is in line with the deadline of Energy community.

Serbia will not slow down preparations for EU a single second, nor it willsuffer sanctions of Energy community for Srbijagas, the Ministry said.

PC Srbijagas has announced today that it suggested the model to split energy activities within holding where it did not get a single negative opinion of ECor Energy Community.

In its announcement signed by GM, Dusan Bajatovic, Srbijagas stated that inline with that model, separate, dependent legal entities are set up which own assets and operate the property in business purposes which fully reaches compliancewith the EU Third energy deal.

The Head of the Secretariat of Energy community, Janez Kopac said on Tuesday in Belgrade that division of activities in Srbijagas is the official condition of EC for further joining process of Serbia to EU.
