European Agency for Reconstruction invests 2m EUR into veterinarian projects

European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Watepower Engineering and Forestry started realization of project for harmonization of regulations with European Union in field of veterinary medicine. The project is worth 2m EUR.

It has been said at the press conference that, through cooperation between the EU and Serbian experts, the implementation of that “twinning” project will improve the work of the Administration for Veterinary Medicine, control and removal of animal waste and continue harmonization with European standards.

Minister of Economy and coordinator of the Ministry of Agriculture, Predrag Bubalo, said that EAR had invested 75m EUR in various agricultural projects in Serbia, 10m EUR of which had been set aside for the veterinary medicine.

The Manager of the Administration for Veterinary Medicine of Serbia, Dejan Krnjajić, said that the implementation of the project, with the help of the experts from Germany, Austria and Slovakia, would enable quicker harmonization and application of European regulations and standards in Serbia.
