Geologists of the Mining and melt basin, Bor, discovered a new finding with four and a half million tons of copper ore more in Bor pit.
On site researches in new exploration field Minicevo - Novo Korito have started, and the first analysis of the so-called "T3" ore, point out at 3,5 million tons of 0,71% copper and 0,3 g of gold per ton and a million tons with 1,15% of copper and 0,4 g of gold.
The ore is above 17th horizonof the Bor put, very favorable for exploitation, RTB Bor says.
He adds that these zones have notbeen completely explored and that quantity increase can be expected when another exploration passage is completed but significant changes are not expected.
The basin geologists started on site researches in the new research field Minicevo - Novo Korito.
The project implies that by May 2015all on site works, geological map and recording of all zones for geochemical researchesare carried out based o which drilling places in the next two years could bedefined.
As for now, not much can be said but based on what can be seen on geological maps, there are more kinds of rocks which can be carriers of quartz wires with gold or copper, Toncic says.
