Radomir Naumov to sign statement about oil pipeline Konstanza-Trieste tomorrow (April 3rd)

Ministers of energy of Serbia, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia and Italy will sign the ministerial statement tomorrow in Zagreb and, in that way, give support to the realization of the project for construction of oil pipeline Konstanza-Trieste.
The ministerial statement will be the first document that will enable work on the development of project for construction of Pan-European oil pipeline – said the Assistant of the Minister of Mining and Energy Slobodan Sokolović.
The value of the construction of oil pipeline 1,319 km long is estimated to about 2 billion USD. Sokolović said that the significance of the ministerial statement lay in the fact that, following three-year negotiations between the governments of five countries, the project would enter the final phase, in which the intensive work on the preparation of the necessary documents for commencement of construction was expected.
As he pointed out, the completion of Pan-European oil pipeline, very important for the supply of oil from the Caspian region to European market, is expected after 2011. Signing of the ministerial statement will take place within the Forum named "Southeast Europe – Power Bridge between Russian Federation, Mediterranean, Caspian and Mid East Territory and European Union".
The Forum in Zagreb will be organized in the scope of the one-year presidency of Croatia over the Collaboration Process in Southeast Europe. In addition to European power safety, the subjects will also be the power projects in the region and the opportunities for investments into power industry.
