Gathering of leading construction and architecture firms – International construction fair BAU, January 19-24, 2015

Architecture, materials and systems for business and residential purposes and interior design in new buildings and development of existing facilities will be presented at BAU.

- Just like as it was at the previous one, BAU Fair in January 2015 will present exhibitors from more than 40 countries. Foreign exhibitors will most likely make 30%. Our objective is to exceed significantly the number of 230.000 visitors and to continue increasing percentage of foreign visitors –David Krebs, BAU project assistant said yesterday at the fair presentation in Belgrade

He said exhibitors and visitors are mainly from Austria, Italy and Switzerland.

- A significant increase in visitors ‘number from Russia, China and America has been recorded. More than 9.000 visitors came to BAU 2013 out of Europe.

The Munich fair building occupies 180.000 m2 where the event takes place every second year and is a small to host all interested exhibitors.

David Krebs mentioned that 500 companies worldwide is at the waiting list,one from Serbia among them.

- For BAU 2015, one company registered and it is at the waiting list since the application arrived late. The construction industry in Serbia has been in crisis and the companies did not have governmental subsidies to participate at the fair – Krebs said.

Vlastimir Stojanovic, a coordinator of the Munich fair for Serbia and Montenegro, said at yesterday’s meeting that the branch office of the Munich fair in Serbia is ready to help our companies take part as exhibitors.

- The problem is our mentality and the fact we always register for the fair too late and a large number of companies worldwide is interested in BAU. We will help all companies which are interested in finding their place at this event. When it comes to visitors, there is an increasing interest of the people from Serbia in the fair. In the period 2009-2013, the number tripled so the previous one hosted more than 400. We expect more visitors from our country at upcoming fairs–Stojanovic said.

In order not to keep companies on stand by and so that they could comply with the wishes of all exhibitors, the Munich fair is planning construction of two halls.

It is planned that the facility construction starts in 2016 and to end in2018 when the fair capacity will reach 200.000 m2.

David Krebs said essential fair features are quality, international and solution-oriented character.

- In agreement with the industry, for every BAU we set some crucial topic. As for BAU 2015", we defined three – intelligent urbanization, a man and a building, energy efficiency and efficient resources exploitation.
