Ships with foreign tourists arrived in Port of Belgrade

The season of arrival of the passenger, international ships to Port "Beograd" commenced in March. So far, four ships with foreign tourists have docked in the port. It is expected that about 400 ships with foreign tourists will dock in Port "Beograd" this season.

Under the flags of Switzerland and Malta, several ships have sailed into the Belgrade harbour. These ships are mainly registered with the headquarters in Vienna and Switzerland. In cooperation with transportation company "Lasta", foreign tourists will be able to go sight-seeing in the city, with the possibility of stopping on the interesting locations, such as Skadarlija (Bohemian quarters) or the Republic Square.

The collaborator of the Tourist Organization of Belgrade, Vesna Nađ, reminded that 40,992 passengers from about 500 ships had arrived in so-called cruisers in 2006. She stated that the largest number of tourists had been from Germany, about 14,000 of them, and from USA - 11,625, whereas about 3,224 of them were from France and about 4,000 from Scandinavian countries.
