Additional capitalization of EFG Savings Bank with 28m EUR prior to April 3

Eurobank EFG Savings Bank announced that it would carry out additional capitalization of the bank with 28m EUR prior to Monday, April 3rd.
The Head of the Executive Board of that bank, Stavros Joanu, said at the press conference in Belgrade that the additional capitalization would contribute to the forming of strong bank and he announced that the merging with the National Savings Bank should be completed in one month.
EFG bank became the majority owner of the National Savings Bank in September 2005, and Joanu stated that the merger of those two banks had been difficult and demanding task, but it had been done successfully. He announced that the plan was that Eurobank EGF Savings Bank increased the number of branches and offices from 100 to 150 and became one of three strongest banks in Serbia prior to the end of 2009.
Reminding that Greek Eurobank EFG has, so far, invested 30m EUR in Serbia, Joanu pointed out that the group was interested in expanding its operations to other financial fields.
