In the next 20 years, China will need 98.000 new pilots and101.000 airline technicians, the Chinese authorities announced.
In the same period, the entire Asian-Pacific region will need 216.000 pilots more and 224.000 technicians.
This means that by 2033, in the Asian-Pacific region, pilots and technicians will make - 39% of their total number in the world, which is more than in North American and Europe together.
- The Asian-Pacific region has been undergoing a huge economic development and
will become the biggest air traffic market - Bob Belito from Boeing said.
Apart from that, with 13.460 new planes which are needed by 2033, the
Asian-Pacific region is the first-ranked in the world when it comes to future orders.
