1.732 offers for companies in restructuring delivered - Investors from Serbia and Germany the most interested

The Minister of Economy, Zeljko Sertic, has said this evening that 1.732 proposals for 403 companies in restructuring arrived and that now consideration follows.

Upon his appearance at RTS, Sertic said that offers do not only contain the offers for company purchases but that they also include interests for strategic partnerships as well as serious work on companies’ rehabilitation.

The largest number of offers arrived from Serbia, Germany 72, USA 35, Russia 26, Bulgaria 34, Great Britain 21, the minister says.

He announced the offers will be considered with trade unions and companies’managemnet, ministry representatives and in the next period it will be deiced which companies must enter bankruptcy procedure.

Special plan and program of sales, structuring and strategic partnership is made for each company.
- However, 99 firms did not get the offer and one part of 403 companies will not be quality enough. We cannot say the number of those to go bankrupt but significant number will have to go – the minister said.

When commenting bad situation in Simper, the minister said that the state was helping the company to survive because it was very important and known brand.
