Eugenio Sidoli, General Manager of Tobacco Industry Niš, promoted to General Manager of "Philip Morris" in Spain

General Manager of "DIN-Philip Morris" Eugenio Sidoli will leave the factory in Niš next week because he has been promoted to the position of General Manager in company "Philip Morris" in Spain due to "good results in Serbia".

Sidoli announced to the employees in "DIN-Philip Morris" that he would take the new duty on May 15, 2007. "Philip Morris International" should decide about replacement for Sidoli, but that will certainly be “an experienced manager from the European part of the company".

- When we bought DIN in 2003 in the tender privatization, Serbia was considered interesting, but problematic child. Now we grew into a young man with the potentials, heading in the good direction. We have achieved good business results, generously invested in the local community and, last week, the Government of Serbia adopted very good Action plan for correction of consequences of the CEFTA agreement that were harmful to the tobacco industry – said Sidoli.

He pointed out that his bosses were very proud of what had been done in "DIN-Philip Morris", adding that he had left behind "the best managerial team he can imagine” and that he was satisfied with the promotion, but also “very sad because he became a bit of Serb in the meantime".
