Sale of Perutnina Ptuj possible? – Estimated value up to EUR 140m

Slovenian chicken producer, Perutnina Ptuj, is considering strategic options which include sale of the company with estimated value of up to EUR 140 m, the sources of Reuters familiar with the situation said.

The company operating in Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, produces chicken meat and meat products. The company could be interested to bigger European chicken producers such as French Societe LDC or Swedish Scandi Standard, Seebiz reports.

It is not the only Slovenian company looking for investors. On Tuesday, the Slovenian state-owned investment fund communicated it is looking for buyers of majority stake at Zito.
