German tourist group, TUI and its British branch office, TUI Travel announced merge into a unique company.
The company will be the biggest in the tourism sector, globally.
The new group, with the name of the German TUI AG, will be located in Germany, and
its market value will total some EUR 6,5 billion and it will be ranked the
highest at the London stock market, Reuters
reports.
The main shareholder at TUI AG, Aleksey Mordashov, agreed to this operation which will enable the group faster growth. Two companies are announcing the acquisition of even 30 hotels and purchase of two cruising ships.
Among other things, merger is expected to generate annual savings of EUR 45 m. The
activity will end by the end of next year.
