Italian Sistema Rinova Uno to build five small hydro power plant in Tutin

Representatives of Sistema Rinova Uno and the Tutin signed the Contract on cooperation for the construction of five small hydro power plants at the Ibar river of 7,5 megawatts , the company announced.

The Agreement implies that Tutin will get four percent of produced electricity during the hydro power plants exploitations, it was stated in the announcement.

President of the Tutin municipality, Semsudin Kucevic, said it is one of bigger projects initiated in the municipality and that in the next three years it will provide work for local construction companies and initiate development of other investments in Tutin.

GM at Sistema Rinova Uno, Umberto Feraro, said that the company presents consortium of Italian companies operating in Serbia for three years now and outlined that they support environmental protection.

He said Tutin has huge energy potential and that the group supports development of sustaibale investments in local community.

The company is planning to build in Serbia 18 small hydro power plants, both at the Ibar and the Juzna and Zapadna Morava rivers, it was stated in the announcement. A total investment of Sistema Rinova Uno in development of renewable energy sources is estimated at more than EUR 300m.

The company announced that it will donate EUR 300.000 to Tutin municipality for the completion of sports center construction according to the project of municipality.
