Zrenjanin releases new tender for potable water treatment - Application deadline November 3, 2014

PC Vodovod i kanalizacija released a tender for services of potable water treatment for the City of Zrenjanain which does not have clear potable water for more than 10 years. Application deadline is September 3.
Conditions a bidder should fulfill are defined in the Elaborate on defining the model of implementation of public procurement in the process of providing potable water in that city.
The Elaborate brings an important difference compared to previous procurement models
and it means that equipment will not be procured or paid but the city of
Zrenjanin will buy water treatment service.
The new concept implies potable water quality must be compliant with the
Regulation on hygiene potable water regularity of the Republic of Serbia, that
the City of Zrenjanin does not invest financial assets in the construction of
potable water treatment facility and that water cubic price coming out from the
treatment service at the beginning of distribution of treated water must not exceed the value of current price
level per cubic meter of distributed water (28 eurocents maximum).
Key parameter for the selection of the most favorable bid is the lowest price of the service i.e. the lowest price of delivered treated water and waste water quantity and obligation of mud treatment originating in technological treatment process were defined as well which was not the case before.
Water from the city water supply system in Zrenjanin is banned for drinking
since 2004 due to increased arsenic quantity.
