Airport "Beograd" to build cargo terminal in autumn 2005, construction of railways and hotel - investment of €0.5 billion

General director of Airport "Beograd", Nebojša Nedeljković, announced that the construction of cargo terminal with logistic center, on 200,000 square meters, would start in autumn 2005.

The plan is that 1,000 people be employed, which would rise to 5,500 employees within 4 years. The construction of €60-70m worth of railway tracks to Surčin is also in the pipeline, as well as construction of hotel until 2009.

After 15 years of joint investments, it will have additional 10,000 - 15,000 employees, it will be left with infrastructure and connections with big foreign corporations, which will transport the goods from the West to East and vice versa. It is expected that total investments exceed the amount of €0.5 billion.
