EBRD redirects a portion of funds for flooded rails rehabilitation

The Regional Head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for central and southeast Europe, Jean-Mark Peterschmitt, said on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, that the institution will, upon the request of the Ministry of Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure of Serbia, redirect a portion of previously approved funds for the railway, to flooded rails rehabilitation.

On Wednesday, September 3, 2014, in Belgrade, Peterschmitt talked with the vice president of the Government of Serbia and the minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic, about the change in purpose of previously taken loans for rehabilitation of flood damages and infrastructure projects of regional importance.

They also discussed the plans of the Government for development of the airport in Serbia and options to merge small airports into one company.
