IMF Head, Christine Lagarde, under investigation due to corruption issue

France has initiated the official investigation against the IMF Head, Christine Lagarde, for her alleged role in corruption affair while at the position of the Minister of Finance in 2008.
On Wednesday, August 26, 2014, Lagarde was at the fourth interrogation with respect to
the case of the French tycoon, Bernard Tapi who in 2008 received a record USD
403 m for compensation on the basis of the court decision in the trial between Tapi
and the state-owned bank, Credi Lione, with respect to share sales at Adidas
whose general distributor he was.
The source close to Lagarde said she will complain to the decision on investigation because she thinks it is “groundless”.
