Italian "Calzedonia" opens 30m EUR worth of lingerie factory in Sombor

Italian company "Calzedonia" will open the lingerie factory worth 30m EUR in the industrial zone in Sombor within next year.

The Mayor of Sombor, Jovan Slavković, said that the factory would employ 500 female workers in the first stage and that their training would start in May.

- At the same time, Italian company for the production of plastic products "Ferari" is finishing the construction of factory worth 4m EUR in the industrial zone. The factory will be put in operation in September – Slavković pointed out.

He also announced the signing of the Draft agreement on cooperation between Sombor and the Chamber of Commerce of Vicenza in Italy.

- At the recently held Investment Fair in Cannes, Sombor represented itself in the best way and we expect that the brochure dedicated to the direct investments in our municipality, which roused great interest, will soon be able to provide some concrete results in the field of investments in Municipality of Sombor – said Slavković.

Slavković also announced the visit of the Ambassador of Republic of Germany to our country, Andreas Cobel, for the next week. Cobel is coming to check the capabilities of Municipality of Sombor, which will be included in the program of the economic pilot projects of European Union.
