At the end of July, Serbia’s public debt totaled EUR 20, 94 billion which is 64,3% of GDP, the Minist

According to site, he Ministry’s data published on the site, in July public debt increased for EUR 279 mil and during the first seven months 2014, public debt increased for EUR 798 mil.

Total external debt of Serbia at the end of July this year totaled EUR 12,39 billion and total internal debt some EUR 8,55 billion.

According to the Ministry’s direct liabilities of the state at the end of June totaled EUR 18,28 billion and indirect ones EUR 2,66 billion.

At the end of 2013, Serbia’s public debt totaled EUR 20,14 billion i.e. 63,8% GDP.

At the end of 2009, public debt totaled EUR 14,17 billion which was 169,3% of GDP. Since then, the lowest public debt was in 2008 and it totaled EUR 8,78 billion i.e. 29,2% of GDP. The law on budget system limits public debt stake in GDP to 45%.
