Eko elektra starts construction of hydro power plant at Despotovac – Electricity production as of April 2015

Belgrade-based Eko elektra started construction of hydro power plant below the Beljanica mountain (August 22, 2014), president of the Despotovac municipality, Dejan Nenadovic, confirmed for Tanjug.

- The investor has all the necessary permits for work – Nenadovic said.

The land where the hydro power plant is built is rented on 50 years from the Despotovac municipality and is located near the Mountain house of the Beljanica Mountaineers’ Association, at the Resava river.

The Faculty for mechanical engineering designed the hydro power plant and it was planned to start electricity production in April 2015.

The construction works on hydro power plant below Beljanica started August 8 with the construction of the facility turbines will be located. Pipes of 1000 mm and 600 mm were delivered to the site.
