ANTIC: Delay in heating payment collection per consumption under consideration

The Ministry of Mining and Energy is considering the initiative of the Association of heating plants of Serbia to delay the payment per consumption for a year, Aleksandar Antic, the minister, said on Friday (August 22, 2014).

He said to journalists that currently the analysis of local self-governances and heating plants on how far they got with preparations that payment collection starts as of this heating season is in progress.

- We received the information that five heating plants are completely ready, 25 partially and 27 is far from the objective- Antic said.

The Minister of Energy added he respects the initiative of the heating plants but that the resource ministry, during deciding, will have in mind the law and previous plans for the start of payment collection of heating per consumption.

He was not precise about the deadline within which the ministry will make a decision on potential prolongation of payment collection start.

The Serbian association of heating plants asked a delay due to flood consequences.
