Jersey finally gets buyer - Desing acquires Knjazevac-based cheese plant for RSD 60 mil

After 22 unsuccessful sales, Knjazevac-based cheese factory, Jersey, was sold to Belgrade-based Desing for RSD 60 mil, Novosti reports.

After the sale announcement and proposals deadline expiry (August 11), only one offer arrived.

The company for trade and delivery, export- import Desing d.o.o Beograd which , with proof of fulfillment of required terms, delivered an initial offer where it accept the purchase of bankrupt debtor Jersey, at acceptable price of RSD 60 mil. After the completion of the sales process, the responsible bankruptcy authority decided to accept the offer which made Desing practically a buyer, Novosti report.

According to Bobana Mihajlovic, a trustee in bankruptcy of the Jersey cheese factory, further procedure in line with the provisions of the Labor Law will follow for the registration of sales contract at the court and pay of the final price.
