Market by European standards opened in Sremska Mitrovica

The renovated market within the city Green Market in Sremska Mitrovica has been formally opened. This market meets all European public utility and sanitarian conditions. The market has been opened by Mayor Zoran Miščević and the Manager of international humanitarian organization IRD for Serbia Jessie Burch.

Total of 220,000 has been invested in the reconstruction of that facility, two thirds of which were invested by IRD, while the local self-government provided the remaining part of the money.

Thanks to that investment, Mitrovica’s market meets all European standards, as far as public utility and sanitary conditions are concerned.
