Revolution - eBay introduces bitcoin


Sales and auctions online service, eBay, will soon enable payment in virtual currency, bitcoin, Wall Street Journal reports.
Bit coin payment will be comprised within the mobile payment platform Braintree owned by PayPal, a branch office of eBay-a.
The service acquired Braintree in December last year for USD 800 mil so that PayPal would become more competitive at the mobile payment market.
Reps of eBay and PayPal are negotiation on various services for bitcoin exchange, Coinbase among them, Bug.hr portal reports.
If they agree, users in USA will, for instance, be able to pay a room via the AirBnB accommodation renting service or a transport via cheap and popular Uber taxi service because these are some of the services using Braintree in mobile payment.
A total of USD 12 billion goes through the platform annually.
