BABIC: Lasta has a chance to find strategic partner

Supervisory Board Preseident at Lasta, Zoran Babic, said on Friday for Tanjug, that the company is operating very well and that it has a good chance to find a strategic partner.

Upon today’s public call of the Agency for Privatization for the collection of bids for the sales of 502 firms, Lasta being one of them, Babic said that within the previous year, the company reduced debts but it has difficulties in providing liquidity.

- Lasta, with its 980 buses, as a shareholder company operates very well at the local market – Babic, who is also a head of the parliament group of the Serbian Progressive Party at the Assembly of Serbia, said, reminding that Lasta had been trying to provide a strategic partner before as well.

Lasta’s buses travel more than 800 million kilometers per year and transport some 100 million passengers all around Serbia and the European continent.
