Germany’s media concern WAZ made an offer to the Securities Commission for taking over 51% of the daily paper Večernje novosti. Offer is based on the price of 2.000 EURO per share. 30% of the stock is government owned, and the rest is held by minority owners. WAZ, on the head with Bodo Hombach, is owner of over 130 papers all over Europe and among them are Belgrade’s Politika, Novi Sad’s Dnevnik and Montenero’s Vijesti.
